Hochschule für Musik und Theater

For Hannover University of Music and Drama (Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover - HMTH), with its 400 or so international students and its many teachers from countries all over the world, internationality is a major concern. In addition to such well-established EU student programmes as the SOCRATES/ERASMUS exchanges, the HMTH also offers interesting international projects of its own at all levels: for students, for teachers and for researchers. For the traditionally minded, the European Chamber Music Academy project is just the thing. For adherents of more recent global ideas, the “Accompagnato” project offers the opportunity to be involved in and learn from international activities from Sweden to Austria to Slovenia, including the use of e-learning techniques.
With our international partnerships and a whole network of local programmes and facilities, it is a pleasure for us to make it as simple and exciting as possible for you. As a German student you can either take advantage of our offers to go abroad, or else as a foreign student to spend time in Hannover.
